NETWORK’s ‘Nuns on the Bus’ Arrive in San Francisco for FINAL STOP of 6,500-mile tour, Urge Congress to Support Comprehensive Immigration Reform

Faith Leaders, Business and Labor Leaders Throughout Country Urge Elected Officials to Protect Families, Support a Roadmap to Citizenship in 2013

On Tuesday, June 18th at 10AM, NETWORK’s “Nuns on the Bus” will join with the people of faith, labor, business and  civil rights leaders at 200 Marina Blvd in San Francisco for the final stop of their 6,500-mile, 15-state tour for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. From Ellis Island to  the shadow of Angel Island, nuns, business and civic leaders stood united to urge their elected officials to deliver real solutions to America’s broken immigration system.

Starting May 28, Catholic Sisters took to the road to urge lawmakers to support legislation that provides a roadmap to citizenship for 11 million aspiring Americans, promotes family unity, and protects the rights of all immigrant workers. The tour has drawn large and enthusiastic crowds of supporters in state after state on the route to the final stop in San Francisco.
