Immigrant of the Day: Francisco Rodriguez, Major League Baseball Pitcher
Born in Venezuela, Francisco Rodríguez, nicknamed “K-Rod,” is a Major League Baseball pitcher with the Milwaukee Brewers. He previously pitched for the Los Angeles Angels, New York Mets, and Baltimore Orioles. Rodríguez holds the major league record for saves in a single season, with 62, set in 2008. He is a three-time league leader in saves (2005, 2006, and 2008). Rodriguez currently is 12th on the all time saves list.
Rodriquez was recently named to the 2014 American League All Star Team.
