NYT on U Visa Challenges

The New York Times reports on the challenges faced by immigrant survivors of crime who seek U visas based on the harm suffered and their helpfulness to law enforcement.  As advocates well know, these challenges include obtaining the requisite law enforcement certification (also known as the Form I-918, Supplement B) and the long backlog of visas available due to the annual statutory cap of 10,000 principal visas.
