NYT: Evangelical Churches’ Role in Welcoming Syrian Refugees

The New York Times reports on how Evangelical Christian churches in the South are taking on an instrumental role in resettling Syrian refugees in the United States, in a break with much of the current GOP discourse over refugee admissions.  As the article discusses, the faith-based nonprofit World Relief has worked actively to organize churches around welcoming refugees to the US.
