“One Refugee’s Life Experience”: Come Nzibarega’s TED Talk

In this recent TED talk, Come Nzibarega describes his experience as a refugee from Burundi.  He shares his story about working as a translator for the United Nations, and how he was captured and tortured by rebels in his home country for working with the UN.  After his escape, he lived for six years in a refugee camp.  “Leaving your own country… is heartbreaking.”

Nzibarega came to the US, and worked the overnight shift at Wal-Mart upon his initial arrival.  He now appears to be a motivational speaker based in the Spokane, WA area.
