ICE Raids Meatpacking Plant in Tennessee; Largest Raid in a Decade

Maria Sachetti reports in the Washington Post that ICE has raided a meatpacking plant in rural Tennessee, resulting in the arrest of over 95 workers. Although many advocates have anticipated the possibility that ICE might conduct large-scale raids of workplaces across the country, the agency has generally not conducted such enforcement operations. It is possible that with this raid in Tennessee may be a sign of future enforcement trends.
