Border Patrol Chief Carla Provost — Member of Secret Racist, Sexist Facebook Group

The Intercept has published a story by reporter Ryan Devereaux revealing that U.S. Border Patrol Chief Carla Provost was a member of a secret Facebook group featuring racist, vulgar and sexist content, including some violent and misogynistic content directed at migrants and lawmakers.

The revelation comes days after Provost issued a statement in response to stories by ProPublica and The Intercept condemning these posts, saying that they “are completely inappropriate and contrary to the honor and integrity I see — and expect — from our agents day in and day out.”
