CREEC Honors Cesar Garcia Hernandez for Challenging Discrimination

The Civic Rights Education and Enforcement Center (CREE) announces: “We’re thrilled to announce César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández as the winner of CREEC’s 2019 Challenging Discrimination Award! Intellectual, activist, teacher, and public commentator, César is a passionate and effective fighter for the rights of individuals and groups. César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández is an associate professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a frequent commentator in national and international media. He publishes crimmigration.com, a blog about the convergence of criminal and immigration law. César’s book, Migrating to Prison: America’s Obsession With Locking Up Immigrants, will be released in December 2019 by the social justice publisher The New Press. Congratulations, Cesar!
