Biden Andministration to send 1,500 troops to U.S./Mexico Border

CNN reports that he Biden administration plan to deploy 1,500 troops to the US-Mexico border for 90 days with the lifting of Title 42 measures next week,  Currently there are approximately 2,500 National Guard troops on the border.

Here is the Department of Homeland Security statement on the deployment.

The troops would serve in administrative roles. Their assistance is intended to free up resources at the Department of Homeland Security so that US Customs and Border Protection can operate more freely in the field, the sources added.
