We are excited to see many of you at the annual AALS meeting in Washington D.C. If you are attending this year’s meeting, we would love to have you join us at the New Voices in Immigration Law session on Friday, January 5, from noon to 1:40 pm.   During that session, we will break up into two concurrent WIP groups, each of which will discuss three papers:

Group 1:
Rescuing Noncitizen Veterans From the “Zone of Death,” by Jenny Kim.
The Toll Paid When Adjudicators Err: Reforming Appellate Review Standards for Refugees, by Shane Ellison
The Migration of Abolition Theory, by Matthew Boaz

Group 2:
When Jurisdiction Stripping Raises Factual Questions, by David Hausman
The New Dobbs Border for Immigrant Women, by Valeria Gomez
Privacy and the Impossibility of Borders, by Joel Sati

To RSVP for New Voices and to indicate your preference of papers to discuss, please fill out this Google Form. I plan to confirm which group you are assigned to (and circulate the related drafts) by December 11.  In the meantime, best of luck with the upcoming end of semester!
