Trump on Migrants: “They’re not people.”

At a political event in Ohio yesterday, former President Donald Trump said that if elected, he would end the border “invasion” permitted by President Biden0–one that has led to “migrant crime,” resulting from that fact that other countries have “sent us their criminals.”

In the course of his speech, Trump said, reference to migrants: “I don’t know if you call them ‘people,’ in some cases… They’re not people, in my opinion.” (see around 5:26 in the first clip below.) He also referred to migrants as “animals.” (see 5:42 in the first clip below).

Note: Trump has called migrants “animals” before–five years ago, though, in response to outrage, Trump “clarified” that he was only referencing MS-13 gang members.

Back to last night in Ohio. Another key moment of his speech was when Trump said: “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath.”
