Now Streaming: The Dead Don’t Hurt

The Dead Don’t Hurt is a 2023 film that’s available on DVD/Blu-ray and is streaming on various platforms. The movie is written and directed by Viggo Mortensen, who also stars in the film. That’s right, it’s an Aragon production.

My cinephile child told me about the movie. He’s a sucker for a Western and notes that The Dead Don’t Hurt “delivers a nuanced story that stars the immigrants that came to the fully expanded American west” and further comments that “we don’t get enough stories about immigrants in general, and even less in westerns.”

That said, when you watch the trailer below, you’ll see why it also made my kid’s list of movies falling under the category of Living in California fucking sucks.
