CGRS’s Immigration Judge Dashboard: A New Tool to Increase Transparency in Asylum Decisions
A notice that I thought that ImmigrationProf readers might find of interest:
If you’re interested in learning more about how specific IJs are deciding asylum, withholding of removal, and Convention Against Torture claims, please join Center for Gender and Refugee Studies (CGRS) GRS’s 5/22 webinar to learn more about our new Immigration Judge Dashboard, which will be launching next week.
CGRS’s Immigration Judge Dashboard: A New Tool to Increase Transparency in Asylum Decisions
This webinar introduces the Immigration Judge (IJ) Dashboard, an innovative tool that tracks IJ outcomes, available through CGRS’s Technical Assistance (TA) program. The IJ Dashboard allows advocates to access aggregated, anonymized information on how IJs have adjudicated asylum, withholding of removal, and Convention Against Torture claims. Since 1999, CGRS has tracked case outcomes, resulting in a one-of-a-kind database with nuanced information on adjudication trends that are unavailable elsewhere. CGRS staff will demo the new tool and discuss how outcomes data is utilized to provide greater transparency in IJ decision-making and empower advocates in the immigration justice community.
