FY 2017 H-1B Cap Met

Today, the USCIS announced that it has reached the H-1B cap (65,000) for fiscal year 2017. In addition, it received more than the maximum number of petitions allowed under the H-1B exemption for those holding U.S. advanced degrees (capped at 20,000). 

The USCIS will use a computer-generated lottery to randomly allocate the visas among applicants.
