Return to Border Controls in EU?

The European Union’s experiment with the end of border controls within the EU may be ending.  Recently, France and Italy appeared to have won the right to reintroduce border controls in emergency situations, after the European commission called for new rules to govern EU frontiers.  Denmark is also reintroducing border controls.  The bad economy, crime, and concern with large inflows of migrants is controbuting to the renewed push for a return to national border controls.
