Miami Law Opens Immigration Clinic

The University of Miami School of Law has established an immigration clinic.  Established in the fall of 2009, the Immigration Clinic is the most recent addition to the School of Law’s in-house, live-client clinics. The clinic provides a challenging opportunity for students to advocate on behalf of immigrants. Students represent clients in a wide variety of immigration cases and collaborate with other immigrant rights groups on projects that advance the cause of social justice for immigrants. Professor Rebecca Sharpless directs the clinic.

Miami is building on its strength in immigration law.  Long time Miami faculty member Professor David Abraham is an influential immigration law scholar.
