Study Says Deadline Hinders Asylum Seekers

Times demonstrates that law professors can do research that is relevant to pressing public policy issues.  Since the one year filing deadline went into effect in 1998, about 21,000 refugees who would very likely have won asylum in this country were rejected because they did not meet it, according to a study by Philip G.
