Our Tax Dollars at Work: U.S. Seeks to Deport High School Student Admitted to University of Michigan Pre-Med Program

Teenager Ola Kaso, who came to America as a small child, is fighting deportation to Albania as she tries to finish high school and prepare for college. No decision was made at her deportation hearing on Friday (April Fool’s Day) and she will be back in court on April 14. Kaso said she is being sent back to Albania because of a mistake made in her immigration processing years ago. 

Kaso was accepted into the University of Michigan’s pre-med program and wants to be an oncologist.
