What the Heck? Illegal Immigrant Hunting Permit

In a provocative op/ed on CNN’s website, Ruben Navarrette, Jr. laments that “in the 21st century, it’s open season on immigrants from Mexico and Latin America.”  He offers the example of, as previously reported on ImmigrationProf, airport security officials at Newark’s Liberty International Airport targeting Mexican and Dominican passengers for security checks.   Here is another example offered by Navarrette:  “In Racine, Wisconsin, the owner of a local gas station began selling a bumper sticker that read: `Illegal Immigrant Hunting Permit.'”  Fortunately, protests led the owner to later stop selling the bumper stickers.
