Cal Governor Set to Sign CA DREAM Act Bill

The Sacramento Bee reports that California Gov. Jerry Brown will sign Assembly Bill 130, one of two “Dream Act” bills, this afternoon. The bill would allow undocumented immigrants who live in California to apply for scholarships funded with private donations. The more significant Dream Act bill, Assembly Bill 131, would make undocumented students eligible for public financial aide. The Senate has yet to vote on that measure.

UPDATE: The Governor in fact signed the bill.
