Immigrant of the Day: Frank Stallone Sr. (Italy)

Frank Stallone Sr, father of movie star Sylvester Stallone, is our Immigrant of the Day.  He passed away at his home in Florida last week at age 91.  He was also well known for his appearances at Italian festivals throughout the US and had published his first book, Stewart Lane, last May. 

Stallone Sr emigrated from Italy to America in 1932, and served in the US Army during WWII.. He also opened several hair salons in Maryland, Florida.
