Racial Profiling in Arizona: SB 1070 2(b) and Not to Be

Roberto Cintli Rodriguez in Racial Profiling in Arizona: SB 1070 2(b) and Not to Be laments the Supreme Court’s decision in Arizona v. United States to uphold Section2(B) of S.B. 1070 and sees it as open season for racial profiling.  Rodriguez identifies several organizations doing important work resisting the various efforts in the state to, as he puts it, return Arizona to the 19th century.   One of the groups that he identifies, Derechos Humanos, has for years documented abuses and deaths of migrants along the border, which ImmigrationProf has termed Death on the Border.  I went on an informative tour of the border south of Tucson led by Kat of Derechos Humanos a few years ago.
