Immigrant Contributions to Housing Demand in the United States

In a report entitled “Immigrant Contributions to Housing Demand in the United States,” the Research Institute for Housing America concludes that “The overall conclusion reached in this study for the current decade is that immigrant demand for owner-occupied housing is likely to continue to provide an important and growing source of new demand in most areas than in the past decade. The foreign-born make a sizable contribution, not simply through their added numbers in the population but also through their expanding homeownership as they reside longer in the United States.”
