New DHS Secretary Sounds Optimistic About Immigration Reform
In his first major speech as new Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson spoke yesterday at the Woodrow Wilson Center about terrorism, national security, and immigration reform. He emphasized that DHS would be ready and able to implement immigration reform and strongly endorsed a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants who have not been convicted of serious crimes and pay a fine and any back taxes.
