Ted Cruz Renounces Canadian Citizenship
AP reports that Canada-born U.S. Senator Ted Cruz has given up his Canadian citizenship Spokeswoman Catherine Frazier said the Tea Party favorite formally gave up his citizenship on May 14.
Cruz was born in Canada to a Cuban father and U.S. citizen mother. Before renouncing his Canadian citizenship, Cruz was a dual citizen of Canada and the United States.
