‘Simple Common Sense’: Jeh Johnson Defends Executive Action on Immigration

The controversy over President Obama’s immigration initiatives does not seem to be going away.  NBC News reported on the first of two congressional hearings focusing on the executive action.  Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson defended the Obama administration’s decision to grant deferred action to certain categories of undocumented immigrants as “simple common sense.”  Republican lawmakers pilloried the policy as a “dangerous power grab.”
