SOTU Guest Ana Zamora

DREAMer Ana Zamora will be President Obama’s guest at tonight’s State of the Union. MSNBC has a nice profile of Zamora, who was born in Mexico and brought to the U.S. when she was one. This 21-year-old dynamo will be graduating from Northwood University in May with a degree in business administration and a minor in hospitality.

Zamora got on the president’s radar after writing an extensive thank-you note to him for his executive action, DACA. (Note to my kids – see, this is why you write thank you notes.)

MSNBC quotes Zamara as saying:

“The program adds to who I am, yet it is not what defines me,” Ana said. “It’s truly life changing, it’s a blessing. I don’t have to worry on a daily basis what will happen to me for now.”
