AP reports that Arizona’s two senators and some members of its congressional delegation are questioning the impending release of an immigrant with tuberculosis in Pinal County, Arizona. Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake, along with representatives Ann Kirkpatrick and Paul Gosar, urged U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement to reconsider in a letter Friday. An ICE detention facility in Florence reportedly will release the immigrant, who is in the country without proper authorization, because the agency has no legal reason to hold him. The immigrant is said to have been receiving treatment for a drug-resistant form of TB.

Breitbart.com also reports on this story and includes the letter from the Arizona congressional delegation.  Polly Price analyzes the legal issues raised by the issue of drug resistant TB in this article.
