Equal Justice Works Fellowships

Equal Justice Works is looking for seven “passionate” immigration attorneys to begin two-year Fellowships starting in September 2015.

Applications can be submitted at this link between April 17 and June 1.

The chosen Fellows will work with nonprofit organizations  in one of six cities – Denver, Los Angeles (2 Fellows), New Orleans, Oakland, Sacramento, and San Francisco. Their mission will be to provide “high-quality, high volume legal services to immigrants” relating to the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) and expanded Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) programs. 

Fellows must be law school graduates (including Spring 2015 graduates) of an Equal Justice Works member school committed to working with immigrant populations. Additional factors to be considered include experience (in general and with DACA/DAPA), language skills, personal connection to the issues and to the locale, and strength of recommendations.
