DHS Inspector General: No Evidence of Deliberate Violation of Injunction in Texas v. United States
LEXISNEXIS Legal Newsroom Immigration News reports that the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General (DHS OIG) found no evidence that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) deliberately violated a U.S. District Court’s preliminary injunction in Texas v. United States when it issued approximately 2,000 3-year employment cards, called Employment Authorization Documents, after the Court enjoined the November 2014 executive actions on immigration. Under the injunction, USCIS was prohibitedfrom approving 3-year employment cards.
