The Eighth Annual Critical Race Studies Symposium, Race and Resistance: Against Police Violence, on October 16-17 at UCLA School of Law. The conference will explore the forms that police violence takes, investigate the causes and consequences of police misconduct, and identify solutions. Areas to be addressed include juvenile justice and the school to prison pipeline, mass incarceration, the policing of gender, sexuality and gender identity, immigration and national security, and the welfare state.
