Canadian Children Welcome their new neighbors!

Here is a “feel good” blog post for the holidays.  Canadian school children have extended a warm welcome to Syrian refugees entering the country. “Welcome to Canada”, “See you at school”, and “Hope you’ll be my friend”, the children say, in a video made by World Vision Canada.

After the first plane carrying 163 Syrian refugees to be resettled in Canada landed in Toronto, Canada‘s public broadcaster filmed their first steps towards a new life.  The video, flimed by CBC, shows Syrian refugees being registered by staff from the International Organisation for Migration in Beirut.
