How the White House Went Easy on Drug Crime—But Not for Immigrants

As readers of this blog well know,  the Obama administration has taken a very tough stance on the removal of noncitizens, including lawful permanent residents.  See, for example, Mellouli v. Lynch (2015) and Moncrieffe v. Holder (2013).  In this Politico article, Grace Meng discusses how the administration has been particularly tough on noncitizens convicted of drug crimes.
