The day-long Workshop for Pretenured Law School Teachers of Color kicked off with a plenary session on Navigating the Path to Tenure and Promotion (Things I Wish I Had Known When I Started). From left to right: session Moderator Shaakirrah Sanders (University of Idaho), and speakers Angela Onwuachi-Willig (University of California, Berkeley), Leo Martinez (University of California, Hastings), and Audrey McFarlane (University of Baltimore).

The 2017 Association of American Law Schools annual meeting concludes today.  Its been a great conference in San Francisco, with immigration program after immigration program (and a bonus trip to Angel Island).

Yesterday, there was an amazing day long workshop for pretenured law school teachers of color.  I was proud that the opening plenary power was composed of a group of my (very photogenic) friends.  I was very pleased that UC Davis had two participants in the workshop.

The Minority Groups Section also had an inspiring luncheon yesterday, honoring Professors Devon Carbado and Vinay Harpalani.  My colleague, Rose Villazor, chaired the section this year and offered wonderful remarks.
