UConn Law Immigration Detention Service Project 2017
Immigration Law prof Jill Family is being honored by the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center and receiving a “Light of Liberty” award on June 7. Another recipient of the Light of Liberty award is the UConn Law School Immigration Detention Service Project, which for the last two years has brought law students and volunteer social workers, attorneys, and interpreters, to York County Prison for an intensive spring break week assisting detained asylum-seekers. The project is lead by Professor Anna Cabot in the Asylum and Human Rights Clinic.
