Epic Hamilton Fundraiser for Immigration Advocacy

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the man behind Broadway sensation Hamilton, is running what has to be the biggest fundraiser for immigration advocacy of all time. Through Prizeo, an on-line sweepstakes site, he’s offering individuals the opportunity to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win two VIP tickets to the opening night of Hamilton at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, attendance at a star-studded after-party, a selfie with Miranda, plus airfare and a hotel.

All of the monies raised will go to Miranda’s Immigrants: We Get the Job Done Coalition. That coalition is:

part of the Hispanic Federation 501(c)(3)… [and] is comprised of 12 partner organizations that work throughout the United States to provide services to immigrants, refugees, and asylees, including legal representation, advocacy, and awareness campaigns. Coalition members include: ACCESS (Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Service), Alianza Americas, Advancing Justice – Asian Law Caucus, Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), Immigration Equality, FANM, Inc./Haitian Women of Miami, Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), LULAC Institute, National Day Laborers Organizing Network (NDLON), National Immigration Law Center, Tahirih Justice Center, and United We Dream.

And those great organizations are the real winners here. This is going to be one epic fundraiser.
