John Kelly Out as DHS Secretary, Now Trump Chief of Staff
Breaking news! President Donald Trump, in a surprise announcement posted to Twitter today, said he had replaced his chief of staff and named John F. Kelly, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, to the post.
Kelly, a Boston native, replaces Reince Priebus.
Here are the contents to the two tweets by President Trump making the announcement:
“I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff. He is a Great American….”
“…and a Great Leader. John has also done a spectacular job at Homeland Security. He has been a true star of my Administration”
No word on who the new DHS Secretary might be. Kris Kobach is my wild guess.
