Transylvania University student Paola Garcia posted the plea for help on YouTube after the school declined to punish a classmate who urged people on Facebook to report her to immigration officials. Garcia is in the U.S. legally under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The video contains some strong language.
According to the Chronicle of Higher Education, Garcia is a recipient of relief under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. She says in the video that she described herself in a social-media profile as “undocumented, unapologetic, and unafraid.” The student whom Ms. Garcia named as having published her information denied posting on any white-supremacist websites, according to The Liberty Conservative, website.
