Extreme Vetting of Immigrants: Estimating Terrorism Vetting Failures
A report released by the Cato Institute found that, despite President Trump’s promises to impose “extreme vetting,” the U.S. currently has a vigorous vetting system. According to immigration analyst and the report’s author, David J. Bier, the system is “already ‘extreme’ enough to handle the challenge of foreign terrorist infiltration… the country has maxed out its capacity to improve immigration vetting.”
