New Journal on Migration and Human Security Issues
Check out two new special collections from the Journal on Migration and Human Security (JMHS) – a peer-reviewed publication from the Center for Migration Studies (CMS) featuring cutting-edge, evidence-based public policy papers on migrants and refugees.
The US Immigration System: Principles, Interests, and Policy Proposals to Guide Long-Term Reform seeks to look beyond recent and current US immigration debates to outline a flexible, secure, and evidence-based immigration system that would serve the nation’s interests, reflect its democratic ideals, and benefit from the contributions of immigrants from throughout the world. It features papers from immigration experts including law professors Els de Graauw, Lenni B. Benson, Irene Bloemraad, Cristina Rodriguez, Emily Ryo, and Peter J. Spiro.
Strengthening the Global Refugee Protection System analyzes state policies in light of international law, examines refugee-producing conditions, highlights promising new initiatives, and creates a strong analytical and evidence base for reform. It features papers from refugee experts including Alexander Betts, Jeff Crisp, Michael Flynn, Bill Frelick, Daniel Kanstroom, Eunice Lee, Susan Martin, Tara Magner, Karen Musalo, George Rupp, and Volker Türk.
