Editorial Cartoon on Children Representing Selves in Court

Check out this  editorial cartoon from Ed Hall.

It is a tragedy is that kids are asked to represent themselves in immigration proceedings. (Though Mr. Hall gets the details a little wrong with his “remanded to the state” — deportation in the U.S. is entirely federal.)

The emotion hit of Hall’s cartoon nonetheless rings true. It’s hard to imagine a little one, wanting their father, facing off against the United States on their own.
