US, Mexico, and Canada Again Avoid Addressing Immigration in Trade Accord
The North American Free Trade Agreement did not expressly address immigration. It appears that the new trade deal between Mexico, Canada, and the United States — the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement –– will not either. President Trump has lauded the accord. In the spring, it was reported that the government of Mexico rejected President Trump’s suggestion of securing Mexican assistance with immigration enforcement.
