BREAKING NEWS: U.S. Drops Fight to Add Census Citizenship Question, N.Y. Says

Suporme court

Last Thursday, the Supreme Court sent the Department of Commerce’s decision to include a U.S. citizenship question back to the agency for further explanation.  Now, Bloomberg Law reports that the Trump administration is abandoning the plan to add a citizenship question to the Census.  “We’re glad the 2020 census will begin printing without a citizenship question,” New York Attorney General Letitia James, who led a coalition of states in suing over the question, said Tuesday in a tweet.

Details to follow.
