Banks Stop Funding Private Prisons

Apparently JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, SunTrust, BNP Paribas, Fifth Third Bancorp, Barclays, and PNC have ALL “officially committed to ending ties with the private prison and immigrant detention industry.”

This is huge (and clever!) win for activists.

Stay tuned to find out if these five other banks that currently fund immigrant detention will change their minds: Regions, Citizens, Pinnacle, First Tennessee, and Synovus.
