The President’s Anti-Impeachment Letter to Speaker Pelosi

Impeachment is in the news as the House considers the impeachment of President Trump.  In a remarkable letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the President Trump registers his opposition to impeachment and refers to it as an illegal, partisan attempted coup.”

In the letter, President Trump in effect alleges that the Democrats have waged a vendetta against him and are attempting with the Ukraine “scam” because of the inability to attack his record of success.  In marking the administration’s successes, Trump emphasizes to the booming economy, soaring stock market, and skyeocketing jobs numbers.  He also lists immigration policy among his success, including  “a colossal reduction in illegal border crossings; the ending of Catch-and-Release;  and the building of the Southern Border Wall . . . .”
