Joe Biden has released this position statement on immigration. At various times during the campaign, including at the Nevada debate, protesters the Obama administration’s immigration removal record. Former Vice President Biden often highlights his ties with President Obama, a strategy that does not play well with all immigrant rights advocates.
Bernie Sanders released this immigration plan. His views have changed over time, with his intital positions reflecting a desire to protect U.S. workers from immigrant labor. In the past, some conservatives have praised Sanders’ positions on immigration. In the 2016 campaign, Hillary Clinton criticized some of Sanders’ past immigration positions.
