Asian American voters in the 2020 Presidential Election

LA Times editor Sewell Chan tweeted: “Looks like Asian Americans—small but fast-growing share of electorate—broke 70-28 for Biden, continuing a shift that began in the ’90s. Asians were more D-leaning than Latinos this cycle.”

His analysis is based on NPRr’s APVoteCast data. Similar findings were predicted by the Asian American Voter Survey 2020, which has found a Democratic-leaning trend among a typically politically heterogenous group since the election of President Barack Obama.
