“Immigration is the sincerest form of flattery”
Here’s a quote that I was previously unfamiliar with, but love having now learned it: “Immigration is the sincerest form of flattery.” According to Eugene Volokh, the phrase dates back to at least 1920 and is credited to Life magazine.
Washington Post columnist George F. Hill recently took the saying and ran with it, arguing that the U.S. could use all the flattery it can get.
