7th Circuit Denies Texas’ Bid To Revive Public Charge Rule

The states had asked to intervene in the lawsuit and defend the policy themselves.  Texas is represented by Judd E. Stone II of the Texas attorney general’s office.

John Kruzel for the Hill previously reported on the challenges of the states to various actions of the new administration on immigration.  Given the primacy of federal power over immigration, it will be difficult for the states to put a halt to many federal immigration initiatives.
