Celebrating Cesar Chavez Day, A New Photo Exhibit at UC Merced

Today, UC Davis celebrates Cesar Chavez Day.

Last year, UC Merced Library acquired the Ernest Lowe collection of photographs last year, which includes photos of labor leader, community organizer, businessman and Latino American civil rights activist César Chávez.

The collection includes photographs from Delano to Sacramento, where the United Farm Workers organized marches, featuring Chávez along with prominent activists Larry Itliong and Dolores Huerta. Chávez and Huerta co-founded the National Farm Workers Association.
